SELECTED PORTRAITS
In 1989, while in India working on one of my first assignments, a book on Rajasthan, I shot a few frames of an older woman in a doorway (Image 133). Everything about India was new to me and impressions were coming at me hard and fast. It wasn't until I had developed the film that I realized what a striking face this woman had and what an amazing story it told. From then on, capturing unique faces with my lens became an ambition and an over-riding passion that remains with me today.
